We have a lot of cashless and contactless over here, it started because of COVID, but you'll only really find it in the form of an app, or just card machines that you can use google pay on and such. Bank card readers over here are pretty cheap, you can get a decent one for about £20.

Funnily enough, the payment interface made it easier to fudge the taxes. Since the electronic paper trail was so easy grab and analyse for the banks, they don't really look out for cash inconsistencies in the savings accounts. So some scumbags started charging a part of the fees through the interface and the rest as cash. I knew a scumbag doctor who used to do that

But, you can't just flash the thing and get charged though. You need to hold it near the interface for about two seconds, I think, before the thingy goes through. There's a beep from the machine and you've to wait for that very short beep to end.
So, it's not like people can just take a reader, walk up to your phone, and take your money or some such.

A fun bit was when I saw some enemies just standing in a row. You could shoot them from like 100m away and they'd just continue standing there as they all died.

Apparently the game was so bad that 70% of the dev team quit while it was being made.
