only really nasty thing that could happen to you while driving a chieftain was getting a diesel bath. Happens sometimes after fuelling up, it runs down to the turret ring just waiting for the tank to be steep enough and whoooosh, driver gets soaked in diesel. That or possibly battery fumes.

There's that game that was overhyped - Outpost something - on Steam, where the tanks have shells hooked to the OUTSIDE, just above the tracks.

It's for rapid reloading AND blowing them up quickly. 🤣
