It was the sickest of times; it was the deadliest of times.
Over half of my 48+ kids and grandkids died of the plague. It's a new mechanic introduced in CK3, where plagues ravage your lands. There's a lot of RNG and physician's skill rolls involved. You survive sometimes and at other times, like in this instance, you lose half your family, including YOUR HEIR and HIS HEIR APPARENT.
The whole family had only the Queen of the second dead king (the grandmother) left alive and willing to take the reigns, but with poor skills in kingdom management. However, she didn't let the dynasty down. Alone, her army faced thousands of enemy soldiers and beat them all over months of terrible warfare. Along the way she lost two more kids to the plague. Several of the MALE followers rebelled and deserted, becase, "What can a silly woman do? Boo hoo!"
After a year of fighting, the rebels have been imprisoned, terminated, and subjugated. The war is over and the ENTIRE holding of the dynasty is intact! โ The liege of the feudal lords even awarded the brave queen an entire sub-kingdom title. ๐

i considered that, there are many many edge cases though. very common ones. what if the thruster is not enclosed but the thrust vector hits some part of the ship? like a bulging hull. sure, youll get some scorched hull but thats not an invalid design

like "i put my thruster in the cargo hold with a big empty space behind it just to cheese the game"
if youre wondering why this is a problem, the thrusters can be damaged

im mainly trying to prevent absurd builds that break the sense of immersion, i dont really care about weird and whacky builds.
For example, in starfield the enemy ships target your ship center. so people just made their ships in such a way that they had a huge hole where the center would be, thus completely making space combat trivial

What I never understood was they have the spice malange, they can use it to become psychic and travel through space, they can use it to evolve. Yet they never synthesised it or farmed the worms to make it, so it was only available in one place in the entire universe. I call bs on that Mr.Herbert.

I think the plot armour for that was the Fremen. They kept the secrets of the desert hidden in the... deep desert. The spice operations were mainly restricted to the northern parts of the planet, since the Fremen killed everyone who ventured south. So, the great houses never figured out how the sandworms came to be, or how the spice and the worm existed together in a harmonious cycle of death and rebirth.
That being said, I assume the Bene Gesserit on Arrakis knew about it, but the reverend mother sided with the Fremen instead of her house. I think that's the plot armour.

I remember being hyped to play Oblivion, playing through the first zone and enjoying it, then realising that the mobs levelled with you and it put me right off. I don't want to stat-stick a character and then go back to the starting zone and get kill by a flea that levelled up with me

well with an arpg or rpg when items and finding them is important to the gameplay, it behoves a game to destroy any necessity because no matter how much strong you get, so do the enemies. At least give a tier system where 1. if you don't have the gear to kill a mob, you can go back and farm. and 2. make enemies different enough to show difficulty in range. Its no good if you are farming the same mobs over and over and they are the same ones from area 1 but with more hp and dps to counter what items you found. I prefer the classic approach
