im having this really strange problem though. im trying to calculate an angle and then check which range (each 45 degrees wide) it falls in. for example, 67.5 to 112.5 will trigger action A, 112.5 to 157.5 will trigger B and so on.
here's the weird part. The 45 degree sectors that does NOT contain either the X or the Y axis, i.e sectors (22.5 to 67.5), (112.5 to 157.5), (202.5 to 247.5) and (292.5 to 337.5) trigger perfectly
the others dont trigger 90% of the time and even if it does, it goes all wonky
im using atan2 and then rad to degrees to calculate the angle and im wondering if its something to do with that process

Frostpunk is fairly easy, but comes with occasional, difficult challenges. Sometimes, you get caught unawares but generally have enough time to prepare before said challenging event arrives.
Compared to Farthest Frontier, it's definitely easier to get into and play. Unlike the latter, Frostpunk has lots of in-game events and good writing.

I did child education, take in all refugees, no sawdust soup, basically a "good" ending run

So in the second run the children yearned for the mines

well, I finally figured out why I was getting extra thousands of cells it was trying to check. My constraint solver has a while loop on it while it tries to match a new tile into the constraints, I put an iterator in there to limit how many times it loops as a failsafe, and it was looping to the max of 200 times really often. When it fails it isnt marking that tile as collapsed or visited, so when it gets the next tiles, its getting the old tile again, failing, getting added again.... 80000 checks later...
so I'ma put in a handler in there so that it atleast marks the tile as finished so it doesnt go into an endless loop, then put in some extra debug stuff so I can hopefully figure out why the constraint solver isnt working.
