Somehow we got on the topic about women rights when I raised my hand to say it felt like women had more rights then men. It's got the classroom kind of rowled up. The teacher (female) asked me for an example and I brought up women only shelters. I used the movie "Pursuit of happiness" starring will smith to show the example of when he had to find another place to sleep when he waited in line just like everyone else but wasn't allowed in just because he was an adult male. It got shut down pretty quick by some of the loud females in my classroom.
They didn't really give any counter arguments though. They said things like "Men should just go make their own shelters", and "Just go to the other available shelters". Among other nonsense attacks targeted at me. Some guys did stick up for my concerns though so it was pretty cool. But eventually the teacher tried to give a more detailed reason for women only shelters which was. "some women were abused, traumatized, and other things caused by men. So this is the only place they can go to be safe and not have to see another man at all as the existence of a man is a trigger for them".
When I tried to point out that none of this explained why their aren't any men shelters she just decided to move on from the conversation and continued with the lesson. In the end I learned that speaking out on it was a great way to get abused verbally lol. But it's fine, we we're all adolescents, I'm sure they didn't mean the things that they said

After 40, say 50 onward, they say ppl start to work better, or more in sync all across the brain (say left vs right). In a way, this has brings more calm view of life. Not for all, but for the most say. You know, grandpas/grandmas are usually chill somewhat.
