I think they did a good job with the flashlight, when you are in dark areas, woods, etc...
You need it to see anything but at the same time it adds to the creepiness and atmosphere, I think ray/pathtracing here adds a ton, especially raytraced shadows, where every blade of grass casts a shadow it kinda plays tricks on you
And indirect lighting is also really cool when walking through dark narrow corrdiors with the flashlight

The whole game puts a big emphasis and focus on light and dark (since that's kinda the point of alan wake) and the graphics tech really does sell it really well, and their art direction

Now I want a really good Alone in the dark game like this 😆

Only issue I’ve had with my previous EVO is the SATA housing is too flimsy and it broke while installing so for a year I had to make sure it’s perfectly positioned and the tower is not moved at all, else I’d get the recovery screen.
