I used to be so anxious I wasn't able to make phone calls without breaking down, I couldn't talk to any stranger for any reason, i.e. ordering food from drive thrus or at restaurant tables, or even just saying hi to cashiers or answering questions.

This may not work for everyone but for me at least what helped was moving out to my own place. I had to do things myself. I cried everytime and got a lot of strange looks because I'd just be crying while on the phone or getting groceries but eventually I figured it out. (I also got therapy afterwards and highly recommend.)

I've had anxiety attacks, but not sure if I've ever had a full panic attack. The one time I did lose vision at the time I thought it was a blood sugar thing. But may have been dehydration + overworking, or something else, I never did figure out what cause me to lose vision and feel so bad

second month just to feel safe a bit

but meanwhile I was already seeing a good therapist

so dropped after 2nd month

we went with CBT first, then ACT

I got laid off shortly after getting on my anxiety meds, (boss was a dick), so once it was actually working, I was no longer in a place where I was getting anxiety so I'm not sure if it ever did anything

Doctors I talked to told me it's normal with intense panic and anxiety but it ain't fun

I did some anxiety classes, and the only thing from there that helped at all for me was the breathign excercises. Focused breathing, 5s in thru nose, 5s out mouth, something like that. same goal without putting a plastic bag over your head

Oh yeah and my reflex is to hold my breath which just also makes the arythmia worse

Anxiety, at least chronic anxiety is involuntary reaction, like when you see a car and instinctively move out of the way, or when you see massive spider and you get that "feeling"
Anxiety is like that in a sense that you can't control it

The mechanism is exactly the same in those example of instincts and fear but with anxiety that mechanism isn't functioning correctly and it's overreactive and activates when it shouldn't
And you can't really do much about it

Hmm, consider prescribed meds, they really really help (idk the specifics of what you go through but for me, it was a case of anxiety leading to stroke like symptoms. I was admitted in ER a couple times and had many many heart scans done. It was pure hell but two years of good meds completely cured me)
