making it harder to get won't stop vulnerable people accessing it though. The most vulnerable spaces will still have plenty of access to it. Hell making it harder to get would actually encourage some of the most vulnerable people accessing it. A lot of kids drink underage because of the added challenge and "naughtiness" of doing so.
You really need more effective treatment, and dismantling the taboos of treatment. That would do more for alcoholism than making alcohol harder to access imo. Currently treatment for these issues is expensive, and seen as shameful, which leads to secretive behaviour, and relapses.

definitely a culture thing. drinking culture in the uk is a lot more acceptable, and there are a lot of vulnerable people that seek it out because of the added "danger".
I can tell you, in my situation, as someone who enjoys the occasional beer with a burger or whatever, that having that taken away would be annoying, and wouldn't do anything to slow the people I know are most likely to succumb to addiction. because then you add the thrill of the chase.

the best way to avoid addiction would be to avoid indeed. but with something like alcohol, where it is trivial to make by hand, by restricting it's access you would promote an underground culture for it, of illegally gained, and made alcohol. Which is far more attracting to said vulnerable people and far more dangerous, than the beer aisle at Tesco, at least in this country :P

the minigun just has such an ROF that if something like grenades or C4 explode while firing it you get a graphics usage crash on just about any rig

idea was that the final game was gonna have much bigger maps where the bullet having drop would fit in

as well as a building system that was in alpha 0.0.3 was going to come back as part of a PVP element that never got finished

lot of plans, and when the dev died, we decided to leave it as is for them, and work on either a sequel to finish it, or move to something else. so if it made more sales, the devs family would still get their pay, since a new dev would kinda require invalidating the huge majority share the old one had in income

old dev had 60% of the revshare

Current llms even tho they have a ton of emergent behaviors (even a degree of reasoning) we don't understand at all why it happens they are still just complex probability machines

And AGI might borrow some concepts like the attention mechanism from the current llms but I believe the architecture is gonna have to be different as well as the way we train them

Current llms can't really scale up with more parametre anymore, it kinda hit the limit, gpt4 is 100x larger than gpt 3 but only maybe 2x better

Most of these super massive models are dead weight, the larger the model the more difficult it is to actually fully utilize it

And training will have to be different, currently it's just brute force way to create a probabilistic "function" optimized for the specific dataset
