Hm. from what I can tell from a few pages (many were too sciency for me), it is toxic, but just wash your hands and dont ingest or get in cuts

yeah, roughly the same system, i7 16GB 2070, keyboard display mouse, works descently... (could be faster, could be slower for some operations, but general workflow is smooth)
gets very hot and loud thou if i dont slow down the cpu.
the case and venting is important, try to get a thicker one, the thin barebones like the intel ones arent working well ime, had a better experience with Clevo based systems in regards to heat management. (old clevo sys had 2cm thickness, zero heat problems unless dusty af and then easy to clean, versus intel system with 1cm thickness and heat problems everyday up to 100ยฐC+ and freezeups and also impossibe to clean well...)
16Gb Ram is a bit on the low end by now, maybe go for 32+ (windows memory management is kinda random, i usually have about 8GB of bs in it)
15" > 17" display, cheaper, more compact, less floppy, and doesnt matter if you use an external display.
get an external hard drive to save outdated unreal projects to, those get huge and 1TB is not that much (descent thou)

and even 1TB for the primary drive is low
I should aim for 2TB but those are rare in laptops so ill have to replace it?

you usually have two slots for RAM and two slots for HDD in laptops, but check,
however i didnt put a 2nd HDD in due to air flow, id rather put another vent there ๐
modern external usb3 HDDs are pretty fast thou if its just for storage reasons.
as for GFX, unreal uses it so you might aswell get the best you can get, 4060 seems to be the baseline in the 4xxx series

I haven't had any noticable issues so far at least. And I monitored my CPU temps for the first two weeks or so and never witnessed it go above 70C
