I like making fps horror and, as I said, I don't mind my game being unseen. I was just angry that I had to log in on every computer where I wanted to download the game, since I could not find it any other way

If I wanted money or recognition, going into freelance for other studio would be a better goal tbh. Indie dev is fun, but historically not grateful

also, side note, itch didn't show my game even if sorted by new, which shouldn't be managed by any algorithm at all, since finding new projects is the point of it

Nope. Local devs is Unity majority.

Unreal Engine devs in my area is pretty much minority

Can have it's benefits, I was in a similar place in Aus, unreal minority, but when a few studios switched there wasnt enough skills so by default you were in a good negotiating position

For all intents and purposes, looking for jobs in local dev scene with Unreal is pretty much hopeless.
Hence I (still) doing daytime jobs completely unrelated to game dev

But yeah, at least I still have chance to do UE stuff on the side.
