DooM 3 was my trigger. I was so immersed in my first playthrough I couldn't finish the game. After that the genre lost it's flavour for me. By the time Resident Evil 7 released I was eager to play it, but just walking through the garden with the anticipation absolutely wrecks my anxiety levels.
the thing is if its a movie I can watch anything. I've seen the worst examples of horror you can imagine. But games have an immersion level to me that suspends disbelief to get the most out of it. And that's where I start turning fun into anxiety. Not worth it. I'd rather play League of Legends if I wanted anxiety 😄

so if you want to run cable, you spend hundreds on special starlink usb stuff or run standard ethernet
our house is on 10 acres, 100 year old gum trees everywhere so you cant just put the dish anywhere
its just a pain in the butts, none of the smart house bridges work on wireless for security reasons
