Is it okay if you have a Wacom tablet with bluetooth and you decided not to use the bluetooth feature but instead use it plugged only? Will it blow or affect the Wacom battery if it stays connected at all times? I am not getting good connection with the bluetooth, performance is way better when I connect it directly.

I used to love Wacom, but when I lost my last one in a fire... the "new version" has such a flimsy connector. Then I bent the cable connecting to it... and I can't even get a replacement without paying $200 for cable.

Ok. Is it a wacom with bluetooth? The one with bluetooth has a battery in it..I think so you can unplug it and connect to your cpu without plugging it in. Anytime you plug in, the battery recharges. If you have been using it for a while with it plugged in. I guess I am just worrying myself over nothing then.

I doubt that. Since you never used it. I am guessing it should be still functional. I stopped using it recently because I noticed I get better performance with it plugged in so I am ditching the bluetooth featuire till further notice.

If thats the case, then its probably no longer working. My fear was if the battery stops working or spoils due to overcharging(since its always plugged in) it might damage the wacom tablet itself but seems with how long you have been using it plugged in. It isn't an issue.

Yup, because my Wacom is a few years old "they don't make that model any more".

So, replacement cables are rarely made and super expensive.

But you'll find that with Wacoms... they don't make general cables, most Wacoms need very specific cables.

I'll eventually replace my Wacom with a Huion-- it's just as good, and you get twice the screen space for half the price; and parts are just way cheaper.

Wacom lost their quality war years ago.

Thats not a good marketing move on their part. They should be have a general cable that works across models with maybe an interchangeable/swapable head or something like that that fits the different models. I am glad to see they are finally getting more competitors in the market now. Maybe they would be forced to do things the right way.

The older Wacoms, for sure. They were built like bricks. The newer ones, not so much. My last one... like I said, the cable was so flimsy it always felt like it was going to break at any moment.

If you suspect it might break, maybe wrap the wire with those black masking tape to make it thicker? The older models were definitely better and their wires were very thick and strong too. I guess once they pulled in customers with their very reliable older models and created a reliable brand for themselves, they are now making questionable products to make more money.

They are. Its an investment some people make when they are involved in digital art.There are the tablet pads which are relatively affordable and then the ones with screens which are very pricey. Wacom is well known in the industry so theirs cost way more than brands like Huion and others.

huion is great too. sadly you cant turn off their pen, so more than often I notice its out of juice, right when I need it

After buying two huion tablet pads that met the same fate, he had to painstakingly buy a Wacom. No overheating issue and has been using it for the past two yrs with no issues.

It's crazy though... the Cintiq 16" is nearly twice the price of the Huion 22". And in my personal experience, Cintiq doesn't deserve that much of a profit margin over Huion. 😅

In Canada, the Cintiq 16 is $869... the Huion 16 is $279. It's not even a competition at this point.

Ok. His was the simple pad one. I think the cheapest Huion one. Stopped working after one month if I remember correctly. He bought another one, the same thing after overheating. I would presume better computer parts are used for their more expensive models.
