The operators add an interesting, if somewhat tedious dimension. There's a graphical glitch or two where the sky tears your screen apart so you have to look down when outdoors till the map changes (rare bug).

Aside from that, it scratches the BF itch for the most part for me, and does some things better than IV and 1

The squad play opportunities are more expansive, and you can have more divergent playstyles. The moment-to-moment stuff IMO peaked in 4 though, but I've played a lot of that

EA Play/ Gamepass gets you a 10 hour trial, you're better off making up your own opinion up about it. Worst case scenario you waste some bandwidth and an hour or two.

Huh? Joysticks produce constant inputs by design, mice are one-shot inputs. The level of control is different, but joysticks map nicer to constant movement like sports games, driving, flying, etc

I guess what I can say about it is that every character feels incredibly unique and alive unlike any other show I watched. And the story and the world is just beyond phenomenal to me. There aren't really any other shows that made feel so emotionally invested in them like Violet Evergarden did. It kinda just sank into the deepest parts of my heart in a way I guess

|| Nozomi is the daughter of a singer. Her mother had a throat condition that got worse the more she sang and eventually led to her death (idr the condition or if it was even a real thing). Nozomi had crazy anxiety, and she would sing Elfen Lied to calm herself when she could (but her father was abusive and he hated that his daughter sang so would beat her whenever he caught her). Lucy, was taught this song by Nozomi kind of as like, a gesture of acceptance if that makes sense? And it's that song that Lucy sings before Kouta kills here at the end of the manga ||
