What's surprising about this mesh, is the resolution of the maps. It's all 1k, but each texture covers each piece, it's like only the head gets full coverage in the 1k texture, for a game that was running more than 10 years ago.

There are hundreds of textures in the file, alot of different colors, probably not even used in the game.

Spine is supported to the latest version, heck my last PR was to add debug drawings to it 😛 . The only downside is that you need to pay a spine licence 😬

If you download Wabbajack-- it has tons of pre-compiled mod lists. And, literally, does everything for you in a modding set up with all the top curated mods. It has a bunch of different configs, but I'd stick with the curated ones really... you'll still end up with something like 300-400+ mods being installed. 😄

Ok after 2 days of research I think I came up with some sort of "almost conclusive" plan to make "stuff that works in unreal"
I researched almost all the topics I needed. And I discovered that game engines have severe limitations, but I came up with a workaround that uses shape keys
Here's my planning. I have a typical blender file, that works with live boolean and doesn't have any face element, because everything is either projected or booleaned or maybe added with masks and materials, it uses muscle systems, multiple armatures more meshes for same file (almost one for each pose) and overall is much more complicated to create. The unreal variant instead is much much much simpler, but it required me to do research

I noticed there are already dragons of every variety, last time I checked there was a dragon of ice and magic the gathering has dozens of well defined dragons in the lore. But, I came up with a dragon concept idea, the dragon of the dump. It's a flying beast, and it has injection syringes instead of nails, and when he lands on the ground he makes the soil an acid dump, you cannot touch that ground and so you're forced to target the dragon with long range weapons

I also tried to use this method, the flattening of hair particles. But even if I could convert the particles into mesh, that is not the ideal solution in unreal. What instead is a good idea, is to use this card hair to bake the maps for hair cards
And by "bake" i clearly mean "to render images of hair positioned on a black surface"
