would you not just sphere project your 2d texture and then use a 2d texture to say where a planet is and or is not. and similarly for where is and is not a resource/spawnable?

valheim, while simplified in its building system, does generate some pretty interesting structures and interiors, enough to add some mild spice and flavour

indeed if its realism youll want them to mantle and crawl gaps. as p;ert of path finding. and lord knows how you do that
basically it uses numeric scores to determine what the best action is at any given time

i think physx was the fluids and cloth simulators. that are now niagara
and its even performant when it comes to BP vs C++ (in packaged builds)
Its hard to benchmark but from my understanding BP isn't terrible
C++ is faster obv
