They do open the emergency gates at the end and have big signs that point you towards the metro, BUT my tip for everyone is that there’s are two entrances to the metro and you should 100% not use the one that’s super easily visible as you leave the festival, especially if you’re staying until the end. The one on Independence is the one everyone goes to and the waiting situation is horrible. If you take a left when you see that entrance and go south 2 blocks, there’s an entrance on C street that is significantly easier to get into and also has significantly less of a queue to get into
