oooooh first fest! uhh....drink an ungodly amount of water and then, when you think you've drank enough water, drink more water. get yourself a really nice pair of shoes (i personally bought a pair of hokas last year when i went to my first festival and that was a godsend). this time around, i'm hydrating a ton in the week leading up to the fest and also mixing in vitamin c packets daily. try to get some good exercise in the days leading up to the fest if you don't already, mostly to get your body loose and ready to move around A TON. take a walk if it's nice outside where you live (and listen to some of the artists you haven't heard from on the lineup while you do). get famiiar with the festival map (make it your phone's lock screen if you want) and figure out who you want to see and also where you'll be able to take a break to use the bathroom/eat/drink (water)/chat with your new best friends without missing out on the sets you want to go to. wear clothes you're comfortable moving around in

idk if there's an official meetup happening on the 31st, although we should totally plan one and also plan one for the evening before/morning of if people are down

and maybe this time, the random barcade won't be closed like it was the last time i tried to plan a meetup

check the forecast 48-72 hours out and check it specifically from a local tv station in the place you're going to. i can give a full explanation as to why if anyone wants (long story short: i direct local news in the midwest and i'm friends with tv meteorologists and they've told me their process and how their job works (i am the only person in the entire building who has seen our chief meteorologist absolutely plastered and it happened, coincidentally enough, when he and i went to see Excision lol) and why they do a much better job than the weather app built into your phone and why that time frame works really well for forecasting)

This is entirely a personal opinion of mine (and I totally get your opinion): the lack of live instruments in the regular Nurture Live version makes it feel much more unique and honest, especially considering what Worlds was intended to be as an album. It’s like…reality is SO CLOSE by just still out of reach
