this was my first real concert for an artist i was a fan of and as another person here said, it genuinely felt unreal to see porter in person, i was in the front row and i know it has partially to do with the stage lighting, but he still didn’t seem real even being like, 15 feet from him, what’s crazy is i live in the triangle about 12 miles from chapel hill, and yet still after spending a lifetime of never seeing anyone in real life who’s made the movies, books, tv shows, music etc i hold so dear, it was a wild experience. as someone else said there was times where i swear porter was looking directly at me. seeing him on the stage was like seeing batman or santa claus in real life, and it really super duper illustrated to me the point that we as fans often don’t see artists as real people, but as imaginary characters in our head

this being my first concert my one gripe is i wish i had more room to dance, i was packed in and the guy to my right had a beer in his left hand so it was very hard for me to jam out cause i was worried about hitting them in the face or something accidentally, both people on either side of me randomly left early to beat traffic and i got to go crazy for cheerleader and it was peak

one thing that struck me about this tour, was how different porters performance is from nurture live, where’s he’s a solo act and dj’ing and using the novation launchpad, this time he has a full band and porter is able to spend much more time dancing and going crazy, he looks like he’s having so much fun and it makes for an amazing concert

lastly, my first post concert depression is hitting so incredibly hard, as someone else said, last night doesn’t feel real and feels so long ago, after the show i looked up the tour dates to see if it was possible for me to go to another show(don’t think it will be sadly) and im resonating so hard with the lyrics “you climbed a mountain are you satisfied? you stand at the top, you already wanna do this, one more time” i can’t wait to one day see porter again

So like I have perfect pitch but it comes with some downfalls, whenever stuff is transposed and arranged differently it screws with me for a second before I figure out what it is.

On the other hand it helps me very easily guess what song he’s going into.

Same. This is my second Porter show. I discovered him too late to see any of his Worlds stuff live in person, but he put so many of his old live elements in that I was overjoyed to see in the flesh.
