Ooh more Chicago recs: There’s an H Mart downtown with a nice little food court! It’s a lot more expensive than the one in Niles (a suburb to the north) but it’s very convenient. Also speaking of the Niles location, it’s right next door to King Spa, a traditional Korean spa with a great little cafeteria-style restaurant. If you go, make sure you try the mango shaved ice. You can get a discount on the spa ticket if you buy it from the H Mart customer service desk in cash, or you can get a Groupon.

If anyone here is looking for an extremely cheap accommodation, some people actually sleep in the nap room at King Spa overnight as a hotel, because it’s 24/7 and only costs $10 extra to stay the night. I’ve only successfully done it a couple times though—you’d better be a heavy sleeper.

Gangnam Mart, also downtown, is pretty fun too. It’s more like a theme park version of a Korean supermarket. You go there for the experience, idk if I’d get my regular groceries there. They have a food court, a bar, and dozens of gachapon machines.

Speaking of Japanese food, I talked about Kuro Ramen but I forgot to mention my other favorite. Strings Ramen is the more decadent ramen place. If you want fancy marinated pork and black garlic broth, go here. They have really nice bouncy noodles. Kuro is more simple, but they have really good side dishes and other things like curry.

If you’re staying in Bucktown/Wicker Park area, Kizuki Ramen is good

If you’re coming into Chicago and want to use a Divvy bike to get around, here’s two of my tips:

• The first time you lock up an e-bike away from a Divvy rack is free; each subsequent time is an up charge.
• When you push your bike into the rack, push and HOLD until the red light turns green. If you don’t, it won’t be locked and the meter will keep running. I learned this the hard way

I believe I did the same but I think we will be fine. I looked into it earlier and a lot of the ADA accommodations are just by request so I don’t think it would inherently be a problem. At the very least the Fairgrounds is all standing anyway so I don’t see an issue.

I actually checked my tickets today and the same thing happened to me. I reached out and they said that the ticket still covers GA but just to let Guest Services know (when you get there) that you won't need accommodations.

They should really let you swap them if this happens. In any case, GA and ADA are both unreserved areas so anyone can access both if they need it. There's even a section in the Ticket Info where it says that everyone should buy a GA ticket even if you need accommodations which is confusing :///
