Recently I found a mod that "enables" frame generation options in games, but in reality it is fsr from radeon cards, and I have a question whether it could work

If you want to try it: do it only in single-player, back up original DLLs, read the mod README and compatibility issues on the GitHub repo, and be prepared to revert if things go wrong.

#

If you care about official, supported behaviour and anti-cheat safety, wait for driver-level or official support (AMD has been expanding driver-level options for FSR variants in some cases).

yeah it works fine!
while AMD do a great job developing OPENSOURCE codes...nvidia still jurassic in not doing opensource.

the way this works is the ''calls''
the software just ask for FG but not tecnicaly specify what FG or for closed nvidia API, so the mod intercept this ''call'' and delivery to the FSR library. that is the why you can mod dlss > < fsr >< xess.

but it need to place or override some dll (most of the time)
so do this with precaution and for singleplayer games (as was mentioned by sylwester)
