#Does this look normal for settings on my gpu?
1 messages · Page 1 of 1 (latest)
What am I looking for?
Be aware that:
- if the GPU isn't doing work, it won't use that much power
- if you have set "Prefer maximum performance" the GPU is prevented from reducing clocks even at low workload situations (e.g. the desktop)
Do them setting look normal?
Normal if you are not playing any games or videos AND Prefer Maximum Performance is on
What should I change it too if I want to play games at max fps? I play rust which is a very cpu and gpu based game and need a lot of fps
CPU yes, GPU, not so much. Most of the things you need to change are changed in-game
If you are already at the lowest possible settings and you are not seeing your GPU usage go any higher, your CPU can't process the game any faster
dont listen that guy
who replied to u
you dont running a heavy app or something and 43 is not even normal
maybe its will run 44-45
even you on max performance your system literally working fans even not on heavy usage
clean your graphic card
Too many unknowns.
I don't know the exact model of the GPU.
I don't know if any custom fan profiles are applied.
I don't know if Prefer Maximum Performance is enabled or not.
Some GPU's fans can only fully turn off fans when control is fully automatic. Any kind of user-defined control, even with a curve instead of a fixed rate, will make the fan bottom out at 30%.
even its a older model
its not normal
if its too old graphic card
yeah its maybe normal but i dont think it so
if its dead
but its should been 35-40 its not heavy usage
i m on 3080 ti used abt years and its still 35-40 even in maximum performance for example
on 4K its between 74-76 in the games
heaviest
one
43 is shows fans working even not in heavy usage
and its bad
maybe ts guy is amateur and not know what he is doing
which is bad
its makes noises also
The one thing you neglected is ambient temp
Which is unknown
honestly I think that's the wrong approach to this anyway. I'd check the other things first. If there is an actual cooling issue, the GPU will hit throttle point
Sorry for the late reply but during that I had one of my games open called rust and that uses a lot of your cpu and gpu on max graphics and everything search it up so maybe that’s why it’s a little higher and it’s a brand new gpu so idk why that guy told me to clean it lol I made this the same day I got it lol thanks for your help tho so much!
It does go down to 40 btw sometimes less when that games not running
At this point might as well run 3DMark and show it's results graphs at the bottom for assurance
