#I really need Nvidia Shadowplay but I'm on older GPUs
1 messages · Page 1 of 1 (latest)
Given the GPU in question, I suspect the CPU paired with it is also of similar vintage, so CPU encoding's out, too
What CPU does it have, to be sure?
you could always buy maybe an external recorder device but idk the prices
That external recorder still usually needs another PC
and if the fastest PC has a 710 and a similar vintage CPU that other PC might also not cut it
you could still use obs
newer versions of obs REQUIRE a good nvidia gpu for recording, but you could downgrade to an older version if need be, older versions dont have that REQUIREMENT
No, the cpu is good, i7 some later gens and obs works well but still shadowplay uses gpu and is better. I lack with gpu. You guys know any similar software
You didn't mention your exact CPU model
Also, Intel QuickSync is really good, yes. What CPU do you actually have?
No, um i dont need 3rd party recorders , i have them. I just want a workaround or force install method for Shadowplay Using anY other encoder than nvenc if the method Exists.
You CAN'T use Shadowplay as it really is (NVENC) because you are literally missing hardware
You can use a substitute with set up using another software + using the encode block on your CPU
But some yt outdated tutorial that doesn't work anymore shown that it was possible
(Set up whatever recording software you want to use. If it's not ancient enough it probably can detect the existence of Intel QuickSync, if the iGPU is not disabled)
You really should provide the exact CPU model just in case your CPU doesn't have an iGPU
