Show us the error code of the GPU in the device manager
You can continue talking here, but from what you've managed to post in the other thread, it looks like the graphics card simply didn't exist to the PC in device manager
Your GPU is dead
If you encounter Code 43 within the Device Status of your GPU in your Device manager, it means that your GPU has encountered a severe hardware issue and your GPU is dead. Code 43 is equivalent to a hardware failure such as the “Yellow Light Of Death” on the PS3 or “Red Ring Of Death” on the Xbox 360 and requires a GPU chip replacement.
If your GPU or laptop is still covered under warranty, please send the device for RMA/Warranty for a replacement. If your GPU or laptop is no longer covered under warranty, you will need to buy a new GPU or a new laptop.
you can stop troubleshooting now. How old was it?
maybe 2 years
so for a laptop... just out of warranty
That's pretty awful luck, but you're going to need to buy a new laptop. Fixing it won't be a good value proposition if you intend to keep using it as a gaming laptop.
It should still work as a non-gaming laptop
yeah i mean it works but i get shit fps in games
yeah, since the geforce is dead
im just gonna let it run till it blows up
sucks tbh im currently building a pc but its going to take a bit
so is there anything at all i can do
or ligit just buy a new pc
not much other than "last resorts" of trying to rule out software causes - fully reinstall Windows from scratch and if it were a software bug it'll clear itself out. usually code 43 is legit bad hardware though.
yeah i have had a few issues in the past with downloading drivers
an not to long ago i did a windows reset but may have done it wrong by keeping files
That basically didn't count. Do it properly with a separately built recovery drive
