I recently reset my PC and reinstalled Windows 10 using a USB on my drive with 465GB of space (it used to be on my 111GB drive). Everything went alright, with only a few problems with Windows Updates. I installed my graphics driver updates directly from Intel and NVIDIA, and everything was fine until I tried playing Minecraft, and realized it was using Intel (R) HD Graphics 4000 instead of my GTX 960. Previously my Minecraft always ran on the GTX 960. I tried all kinds of different solutions, but it seems like Windows isn't recognizing GTX 960 in the Graphics settings (Settings) so I can't set it as the GPU for OpenJDK and Java SE Binary (for Minecraft). Is there anything I can do? I hope this is a relevant place to ask.

Did you even install the Nvidia drivers?
Also
Did you plug your cables to the motherboard or GPU?
I have installed the NVIDIA drivers, directly from the website. I tried uninstalling and reinstalling them fully also. My monitor cables are plugged in so: one in the GPU and one in the motherboard, because I don't have an adapter to plug both into the GPU. This problem persists even if I unplug the monitor in the motherboard. The other monitor plugged into my GPU works fine
Well there's your issue then
Make sure your default monitor is set to the one plugged into the GPU, the one that is plugged into the Motherboard should be set as secondary monitor
Also, it's preferable to plug all displays into the GPU rather than the motherboard unless you ran out of ports
WOW no way, that completely fixed it, I didn't even realize my main display wasn't the GPU one
Thank you, that seems so obvious, I can't believe I did everything from BIOS settings to DDU
I know, but my monitors came with DVI-D (i got them for free) and my build only has one port in the GPU that will fit them. once I buy more HDMI cables I'll plug them into the GPU
yeah you pretty much have to revise your connections as DVI is pretty much dead
