RAM?
just went from G.Skill DDR5 64GB PC 6000 CL30 (2x32GB) 64-GX2-TZ5NR AMD E to Patriot Viper Elite 5 RGB DDR5 48GB (2 x 24GB) 6000MT/s Kit - PVER548G60C42KW to try and fix the problem didnt work
Is the second set of RAM not EXPO?
the 2nd is expo
i have tried both
how about only one stick?
if you're still getting errors like that, your CPU might be, not gonna lie, cooked
Hmm, very curious
If you can very consistently reproduce this, probably just a marginal memory controller
See if your PC crashes less on that profile
it still crashes
Have you tried turning off PBO on the CPU?
If turning off PBO stops the crashes, contact AMD
pbo?
i just started a RMA for the cpu today
Precision Boost Overdrive pretty sure thats turned off
alright, hope for good news later
i had 5090 savings that i have been saving for months which have now all gone to buying pc parts to fix my pc
with amazon so should be able to return a lot of them
it was 100% the cpu got another 1 in now and have had 0 problems
RMA the CPU
already started its being collected today
i mean its from 2 years ago and thinking back on it it might have always been bad
ever since i got that cpu my pc has had tons of random crashes but i just thought it was normal up until last month when i couldnt even play games
Well, tbh, a computer that crashes is not normal
Maybe in the 90s, but definitely not since the late 2000s
If a new computer crashes, that's ripe for a return/exchange
At least you managed to swap out the defect part within warranty
they replaced it with 9950X
