#looking to improve performance

start with turning off unnecessary start up apps like spotify and discord
erm they are
edit power plan to ultimate performance or to high
open nvidia control panel and on global settings turn on power management to maximum performance
Get yourself a better PC and GPU
How is this pc not good
Ina check tmr and tell you
You're running on a 5 year old PC with a slow Intel CPU
as for the GPU, no support for DLSS or upscaling, plus it's as slow as an RX 470/1060 as this is a laptop variant, an 8 years old GPU
A system running an iGPU like core ultra is faster than your laptop
Soo cpu is ass huh
and "how badly", you ask?
Can't feed a RTX 3050 bad levels

anyway, yeah, the entire thing needs to be upgraded.
If you can only afford a partial upgrade, at least sort out the GPU. A weak CPU will let you start some games even though they might stall a lot of stutter. A GPU that isn't fully DX12U compliant now will never start some games.
never had problems on fortnite or other big games
so idk
what frame rate and resolution before any scaling are you getting in Fortnite?
i am running a whoping 90fps on medium settings
i can go to max high but i wont cuz the game starts to become a bit laggy there
in rainbow six siege over 90-100
medium
i can go high as well
i even played doom eternal wich is a heavy game too
the resolution is 1920x1080
🤷♂️
This sounds like you may have different issues, or you are overloading the PC or the game in games where you modded it
Anyway, there's not much we can really do with the exact same hardware
Please do not use these apps/games for benchmarking or testing your computer as the results are likely not meaningful.
Heavily biased
- Userbenchmark
- Geekbench
Does not test actual performance
- Furmark
- MSI Kombustor
Poorly optimized
- Most Early Access/beta games
- Most very new games (within 1 month of release)
- Ark: Survival Evolved
- Cities: Skylines series
- DayZ
- Escape from Tarkov
- Elder Scrolls series
- Elden Ring
- Fallout series with the following exception: Fallout 4 needs High FPS Physics Fix, X-Cell, Buffout 4, Previsibines Repair Pack, Weapon Debris Crash Fix, Godrays Performance Fix Redux, and avoid Ultra settings or the High-Resolution Texture Pack DLC.
- Forspoken
- Fortnite in Performance Mode
- Immortals of Aveum
- Minecraft: Java Edition without a mod that replaces the renderer (e.g. Sodium and its forks)
- PUBG
- Roblox
- Rust
- Star Wars: Jedi: Survivor
- The Last of Us: Part I at Ultra
- X-Plane series
Enforced 60 FPS caps (can still be tested for the purposes of if the system is working correctly as they're otherwise without issue)
- Most fighting games (e.g. Street Fighter, Tekken)
- Genshin Impact
- Honkai: Star Rail
Where's that Fortnite bot again?
Fortnite is known for being poorly optimized and is also subject to Unreal Engine traversal stutter. Still, there are things you can do to keep things running smoothly.
- Some traversal (streaming) stutter is inevitable in the Battle Royale mode/maps. Still, they should not end up in freezes.
- Do not use Performance Mode as your rendering engine; this is designed for older GPUs and will likely be slower than DX11 or DX12 Low on RTX GPUs, as well as GTX 1650/1660/their variants.
- Do not use plain resolution scaling on RTX GPUs. Use DLSS instead. The image quality will be significantly higher, and you can use even lower scales than you'd normally use with scaling.
- Fortnite is best installed on an SSD.
- Fortnite does not install streamed assets out of the box. Make sure that "Pre-download Streamed Assets" option is checked in Install Options while installing Fortnite.
i found this sub reddit and i tried for my brother cuz he has an AMD pc
and it actually works
but i one am on nvidia so i cant do that
plus OC on laptop is a bad idea
honestly i dont know if i am overloading how can i tell that
i am not using performance mod so yea im on direct 11
this laptop is dogshit
aint no fkin way i can run AAA games but not isaac with mods

i cant right now
not in my current situation..
This is actually not unexpected
Retrofitting an older game with mods is inherently less efficient
Just buy a new PC
