Hi so I recently been having issues with my rtx 2080 and so I ended up ordering another heatsink off a 2080 ti, (same model same card same company just the ti variant it was the only thing I could find) well I inspected the heatsinks side by side and they looked the same, now for some reason after installing the new heatsink I noticed GPU z nor any software for that matter displays card sensor information now? What's going on? They seem to be the same, connected the same and even turned on with the fans and lights on the new heatsink. Any ideas what could be going on?

For a utility to automate DDU as much as possible follow this guide.

Uhhhh it might not be a problem anymore I tried one more time with the old heatsink and well
That's quite a bit better than before
(old temps from the other day)
The fan control wiring may be different between coolers, plus cooler designs may vary between GPUs
If you mod the cards yourself, you are responsible for it and all the problems that come from it
Oh I mean overall they were the exact same layout and connectors I just figured that it would be relatively straightforward as they were both EVGA xc 2080 heatsinks just one was a ti
Nope, still needs fixing/possible improper contact
Hot-spot is 99C
This should never happen
Honestly, it's just better to find a custom GPU cooler or find the exact broken GPU on eBay/Craigslist and reusing that cooler
I mean still a 10 degree difference than before, plus I still have some stuff that I need to correct like putting the plastic back on the heatsink, not to one fan wasn't working and my computer was open during this so overall I don't think I'm really in optimal cooling conditions
