Hey everyone, I'm having a significant issue with G-Sync while using screen sharing on Discord. G-Sync only activates when I hold down the mouse button to move the camera, and it doesn't stay active at all times. This is a problem because I frequently need to move the camera in the game, which causes unbearable stuttering due to G-Sync constantly enabling and disabling. However, when I'm not sharing my screen, G-Sync works perfectly and remains continuously active. I'm sharing this in the hopes that someone has encountered this problem before and can help me find a solution. Thank you!

G-Sync will deactivate when the thing needing it isn't in the foreground or is overdrawn by another app
This isn't really a problem per se
But rather an unavoidable behaviour due to the other "stealing focus"
Is your monitor high refresh capable (120hz+?)
If yes, see if you still get these stutters with the game's frame rate intentionally limited to 60FPS from the NVIDIA Control Panel (have in-game left in unlimited or max possible, vsync off)
yes my Monitor is a 160Hz Monitor
do you mean vsync off in nvidia control panel or in Game?
Off in-game. For the setting in NVIDIA Control Panel it's a "whatever"
Also don't forget to turn off any frame limiters in-game when the app is inactive.
Just tried it and its still doing the same, v-sync and all limiters are disabled in Game. In Control Panel max FPS is set to 60 and V-Sync on
Undo all the steps you did, and disable hardware acceleration in Discord
will try this in 20 minutes, do you mean I should uncap the Frame rate and disable G-Sync in Nvidia Control Panel?
Yes to the first, no to the second
sry for the late reply, just disabled everything except for G-Sync and V-Sync in Nvidia Control Panel but the problem is still the same
Starting to think that there may be no workaround for this on a single monitor screen due to the nature (a different app over another)
