I can get rtx video super resolution to work just fine on videos in firefox, 720p or below on youtube.

However, 1080p videos are showing as inactive in the nvidia app for rtx video super resolution.

I am using a 1440p monitor.

The indicator is very hard to see since the feature also deactivates when you switch apps

I'd enable some kind of overlay that displays power usage instead

(Try the ALT-R performance overlay!)

If VSR is engaged, your power usage should significantly increase, especially at higher quality levels.

I had the nvidia app on 1 monitor, and the browser on another

If I change resolution to 1080p, it turns off

If I change resolution to 720p, it turns on

#

It's consistent, I can replicate it every time

Does this happen with Google Chrome/Microsoft Edge?

(Note: for Microsoft Edge, you also need to enable graphics driver enhancement. This is off by default.)

I flip back and forth between 480 and 720, and on 720, it is disabling

RTX Video HDR works at any resolution, it's the super resolution that is deactivating

@hardy vale solved it

It can only upscale 1080 if you make your browser full screen the video

If the display size is smaller than the video size no upscaling takes place
