I recently purchased a new 4070 windforce oc gigabyte gpu with 12 gb of ram. When playing games such as fortnite I am experiencing extremly low fps during the games. Sometimes almost reaching 3 fps. I am wondering if there is anything I can do to fix this problem. All my graphic drivers have been up to date. I also tried reinstalling them, but haven't seen any difference.

Also: if using DX12, you are already playing with RT on. Frame rates will go down.

For the time being can you set the settings as follows?

  • Restore defaults first.
  • Frame Rate Limit set to unlimited.
  • Vsync off.
  • Make sure the rendering mode is DX12.
  • Set the quality preset to Low.
  • use DLSS Performance.

Load up a persistent mode (e.g. LEGO Fortnite) and let me know the frame rate you are getting.
