#Im using NVIDIA auto select between dgpu and igpu but minecraft is not using dgpu to display

Minecraft (Java) is an OpenGL app. Advanced Optimus' automatic switching only affects DirectX 10 and up games.
If you wanted to have MinecrafT run on the dGPU, Add this app to the list of apps using high performance graphics. (Windows Settings > System > Display > Graphics). You will need to add the runtime itself and not the launcher.
If you want to have the dGPU exclusively perform all duties, you change the display mode to NVIDIA GPU in the NVIDIA Control Panel, if this has that auto select feature which is indicative of Advanced Optimus
I have alreaasdy added the Java runtime and its running on the dgpu, however the display specifically is not using the dgpu to display and is using the igpu
If you want the dGPU to handle the entire chain, unfortunately, for this game, you must switch the laptop to dGPU-only mode. Your laptop will need to support the use of a MUX Switch or Advanced Optimus.
Where did you get that "auto select" from?
