i downloaded the installer from GExperience during their cutaway slideshow, from my understanding it seems we installed the wrong version for some reason

I just fired it up to play with it this morning and I now have the exact same error as you guys. This was working last week for me and I have not done anything to change it. However, further up in the terminal it says this:

"[03/25/2024-08:56:44] You try to use a model that was created with version 2.5.1, however, your version is 2.2.2. This might cause unexpected behavior or errors. In that case, try to update to the latest version."

I have never installed an updated version so I suspect it is updating itself without saying and this has broken it.

What was the name of the file you downloaded when you installed? Mine was "ChatWithRTX_Installer.zip" but I have just gone to download again from the page I linked to and it is now "ChatWithRTX_Installer_3_5.zip", I am downloading but it 35G so I won't find out if it is working with a clean install until later.

Its still downloading but I am thinking that they updated it, the update is broken and older installs like mine auto updated and are also broken

You gotta download this pooling.py and replace it https://github.com/UKPLab/sentence-transformers/blob/master/sentence_transformers/models/Pooling.py

File path can be vary but the default is this C:\Users<user>\AppData\Local\NVIDIA\ChatWithRTX\env_nvd_rag\Lib\site-packages\sentence_transformers\models.

just download and drop the .py file in there and replace it

I had same error situation resolved, installation completed. Downloaded pooling.py and replace it manually to: C:\Users<user>\AppData\Local\NVIDIA\ChatWithRTX\env_nvd_rag\Lib\site-packages\sentence_transformers\models.

Had to open the Pooling file in notepad and copy the text into the older version as deleteing and dragging in new version did not work
