Do it again, but this time, once the computer restarts, do not manually install any graphics driver. Let Windows install what it will install automatically. (You should re-enable automatic driver installations from Windows Update.)
Once it installs (to confirm, check Device Manager and verify that under Display Adapters, the video card is in its real name)
Confirm that you can open NVIDIA Control Panel.
If you can, OK. Restart the entire PC. Then do whatever you were trying to do.

seems to work for now thanks alot. just for my own knowledge what difference does it make if i manually install it or if windows does it for future reference
