My nearly 2 year old RTX 3060's fan is not spinning, just one of them is, the other one is standing still. I do not want this to cause any type of overheating, but i was unable to find solutions in the internet to this very specific type of scenario. The PCIe cables are connected just fine. Yes i am aware that the fans only start spinning under load, but even when i tried to force it to spin, it did not. Not even when starting the PC. There is nothing blocking the fan, nor have i ever modified or handled the GPU in a way you were not intended too.

i may have not noticed it, it can be that this happened a long time ago, but i have noticed it getting a bit load recently. The GPU is nearly completely clean in terms of dust
EVGA RTX 3060
Uh please i need help
@deft void try a stress test then RmA it
I stresstested already, not budging for sum reason. Not even on full load
Then RmA it to evga
maybe replace stock fans with this?
Aw man i wanted to not do that, but i'll see
EVGA have the best customer service
I am using a prebuilt though
Should still be fine
btw
Is there uuuh any concern with using an old mining card?
@mortal ingot what is the worst thing that can happen if idk smth goes wrong with your graphics card?
prolly the liquid leak?
uuuh
no that that bad
because i have a sketchy looking 3060ti that was used for ming
mining
I'd strongly recommend 4070TI get that bad boy with warranty so u can fk around
ahh prolly hardware's gettin old
no not in terms of hardware
like i have a 3060 thats clean and shiny used for gaming
but the fan is freaky
but i got a 3060ti that was used for ming
mining
wait here
can u see those tiny spots
thats not liquid btw its rock solid
but i am unsure
@deft void RmA if it annoys you or keep it it it doesn’t affect performance there is nothing more I can say
on it, just lookin for a replacement for that time
but is this bad or can i just yk, not worry abt it doing bad things to my mainboard
maybe disassmble it for good cleaning, and check the board while u at it. maybe it's shorting the fan idk
oh no thats not the one thats in the pc
the defective one i'll send to evga, but that would be the replacement for the time
but good idea
idk, im not that proficient in hardware stuff, I usually get my stuff with warranty n replace it if it breaks
i'll use rubbing alcohol and clean it
used to get used hardware when i was a beginner. since its second hand u can fuck around with it to learn n inspect
eventually learned its best to get from MicroCenter n let them worry about technicalities
yeah i know a bit, but this is very odd
i dont live in US so thats a store i really miss.....
i'd love to have a microcenter somewhere
