I have a RTX 3060 Ti, i bought it like a month ago and the first 2 days everything was going fine, till it randomly started failing and giving me black screens, shutting down and restarting every time i open a game, sometimes it doesnt crash but only closes the game. i Checked this and apparently its a problem with my 3060, any ideas on why this happens or how to fix it? cuz im kinda a modeller and this is a real pain. Thanks.

I just fixed this issue with my PC not too long ago.
You reset all your BIOS settings to default
then flash update your BIOS.
Also make sure all of your drivers are updated. I recommend Driver Booster 11
If this solution does not solve your issue, ping me and I'll do what I can to troubleshoot with you.

This video explains it pretty well. But if you get confused just let me know and I'll walk you through the process.
First you need to format your 32gb usb drive to "FAT32" then download the bios update from your motherboard manufacturer's (ASUS, ASRock, Gigabyte, EVGA, etc.) website on a 32gb USB stick. It won't work on anything higher than 32gb.
Again if you get stuck just let me know. (I had a hard time figuring it out my first time so I know how much of a headache it is. 😅)
The BIOS update didn't fix it?
Sometimes shutdowns can be caused from overheating components too. Do you know what temperature your CPU averages at while playing games? (Also what is your CPU model)
i barely did something its like brand new
most i did was blender
and a basic model
most i played was valorant and roblox
how is roblox gonna overheat my cpu
😭😭
To recap: this only happens with games?
I think that's what he said
Same thing happened to me while booting up certain games like Chivalry 2, Fortnite, and Crossout. But updating my BIOS fixed it.
yea
i can use stuff like google
and well, discord
but whenver i open blender or roblox i keep getting black screen jumpscared
and then my pc restarts
or it just stays like that untill i turn it off
Can you check if the GPU works correctly when you use MSI Afterburner to apply a negative offset to the core and memory clocks?
If not, then the same, but this time with the power limit reduced
Follow this chain (similar failures here)
(Post any comments here, not there)
okay
im checking
uh
@willow edge
i cant do nun on the msi afterburner
it wont let me change it
Open Device Manager and expand Display Adapters. What's in there?
uh
my 3060
a file i guess
i mean its got that ⚠️ thing
it says code 43
its working now

Um, yeah, a normally functioning card shouldn't be throwing codes in the first place
Is there anything between the video card's connector and the motherboard?
Try reinserting the video card.
If your motherboard has another x16 slot, see if it faults in the same way in that slot, too (it will be slow, though)
