sorry to say i already have
https://www.guru3d.com/download/display-driver-uninstaller-download/
OR
https://github.com/Evernow/AutoDDU_CLI/wiki
Then if you used the first one, manually reinstall the latest driver using the link I provided earlier. (You probably should download it beforehand to make things faster.)
Download Display Driver Uninstaller (DDU) - Remove AMD/NVIDIA/INTEL Graphics Drivers Cleanly - DDU is a driver removal utility that helps you completely uninstall AMD/NVIDIA graphics card drivers and packages from your system, leaving no leftovers behind, including registry keys, folders, files, and driver store.
did and now its
To confirm: the main driver installed fine, but GeForce Experience is broken?
Device Manager > Display adapters > the GPU you have, does it not have any other icon on top of it, and when you select its properties and view its driver details, the last 5 digits of the version number correspond to the current driver version
NVIDIA Control Panel opens properly?
i hope this answers it im confused.
.
Seems like it's just GeForce Experience having problems
it is.
im back on this
i fixed it but now i cant turn on in game overlay
How did you fix it?
Also, check if the overlay opens when no game is running
doesnt
download the latest 1 from the website extract it to a folder and then open device manager and manually update it
That's not really a fix
In fact, you're now on an unsupported configuration
Do you know if GFE ever worked?
Anyway...
@pure vine Start over. Use the first one (manual DDU). Install the latest drivers again, but don't install GeForce Experience alongside it. Contact NVIDIA Support on the GFE bug with your system.
if able to hop in vc and help that would be amazing
No i just downloaded it
The heck? GFE is bundled with drivers if you let it.
🤷♂️ \
Seems like there's more into the entire thing...
Are you trying to download a separate GFE installer?
no im js trying to use the overlay 😭
If you used the default installation options and didn't uncheck anything when installing the NVIDIA driver package, GeForce Experience should have installed alongside the drivers
You should start over with DDU followed by directly running the driver installer. When prompted to either install the driver with GFE or just the driver, choose to install both at the same time. Then, Express install.
Once the installer finishes, screenshot the window of the results before closing it. Post it here. Don't run anything else, just in case.
@pure vine
The overlay is part of GFE, so you must have it in a working state first.
