For the longest time every time I go into control panel I can only see 3d settings, went to device manager then display and both cards r there and working it says. I’m using a msi gaming laptop with a 1650x in it have it hooked up to my Samsung lc monitor 75hrtz and using a Xbox one hdmi cord for it. Tried using display port but it wont appear on my monitor. I don’t know if it’s the hdmi cord not supporting the gpu or my gpu is messed up. Been trying for a few months now to try and fix this.
#intel card will not switch to gpu

Along with trying to switch my intel card to gpu processing in control panel it’ll never switch, the white arrow moves over but doesn’t show the little plug in port on the other graphics card
All drivers are updated
every time I go into control panel I can only see 3d settings
That's normal, laptops use a technology called Optimus to run your displays off your iGPU, but run demanding applications (like games) in your dGPU. Nvidia Control Panel can only configure displays connected to your Nvidia GPU, and since you don't have those, you'll be missing most settings
On experience and device manager
Ahhh okay
Do u know the reason behind my intel not switching to gpu
Your displays are still physically wired up to your iGPU. You can't change this.
The only thing you're changing on that settings screen is which GPU will handle PhysX processing (which is, as the description states, a physics engine; it's rarely used, at least for anything consumer-oriented)
How do I know if my games
Are running off my gpu
Should I just use GeForce experience to launch my games?
