Hi, i'm Danitza, i was streaming lately, and my game PUBG runs bad, low fps, stutter, etc, but the quality of the recorded highlights with Shadowplay always been great, i don't know how was looking on the stream being live.

i know my settings are ok, but i had a question.

can i run shadowplay recording my highlights on the background to had full quality clips while streaming with OBS at the same time? both using NVENC H.264 .. or that was my issue?

i run 3060Ti EVGA FTW3 ULTRA, Corsair Vengeance LPX 3000 2x8, ASUS PRIME B350 PLUS, and AMD RYZEN 7 5700X, with Crucial MX500 525GB SSD, WD Blue 1TB 7200rpm, and all that with a Seasonic SnowSilent 1050w Platinum PSU with stock cables.

i was thinking about, the ram. only OBS opened and doing nothing my PC is at 10GB RAM Usage. PUBG i believe by seeing too much benchmarks uses 8GB of RAM. Maybe that will be the/an issue?

i don't had Elgato's Capture card, and i don't planning to buy one, because i don't need it, and is too much expensive. i strong like and believe in 1 PC setup. only want to record my highlights at the same time while streaming on OBS to edit and edit my voice in post. i'm starting and want to upload to YouTube and TikTok. Also i didn't had idea how to edit btw.

obs replay buffer allows you to stream and clip via obs too

if thats something you are willing to look into

i press one button on my stream deck to save the last 5 minutes of instant replay with shadowplay. the thing is, really streaming with obs and recording with shadowplay impact my performance? i mean if it affects each other. i think both are using the nvenc right?. i believed they don't impact my pc/game performance. i don't understand what's going on.

im worried that obs recording will consume and impact more than shadowplay when streaming also with my ram capacity.

you think is my ram?

i was looking into OBS and i see that obs replay buffer uses ram like 1 gig to record 5 min

i will get performance impact if i use NVENC H264 for my stream and NVENC HEVC for recording?. i believe are different codecs can have no impact in my performance.

there is always the 5% performance hit

since you multitask, record stream play and have chrome tabs open i assume too then 32gb of ram is amust

I deactivated instant Replay and highlights but not Shadowplay overlay and performance is the same
