#Crackling type sound and inconsistent humming type sound

@stuck nacelle
Hell yeah I’m here
So it’s like a crackling sound
Can you stop the aio fans
Um. Lol.
Dumb q but is it dumb to test it by disconnecting the AIO's power for a few seconds?
Do you hear the crackling sound
Your AIO fans are at the top connected to the radiator that goes to the CPU
Oh ok
Yea. Overheat in seconds and shutdown
Oh.
I stopped all fans and it still makes noise
Sorry.
Can you record it with the aio fans stopped?
I’d just put my finger on the fans for a sec and see if it stops
I did
Idk where the setting in your pc would be for that
Im gonna set phone down and record.
If every fan is stopped including AIO radiator fans then it might be a bad AIO pump
Use one hand to stop all in one fans and another fan to stop the fan to the left
There are two fans to the right but they are “far” from the sound
Np, I experienced that when the power to the aio light cable was in the way of the pump lol
Yeah if it’s not near the sound I wouldn’t worry.
Hah, just need a can of compressed air for that
Alright hold up gonna try and record
I stopped all 3 fans while recording
Phone was resting on my GPU
I’ll never be able to thank you guys for helping me
I love it here
It literally sounds like coming right from the cooler
Lifetime warranty for everything
As long as I don’t change a major component such as a motherboard or CPU they cover all that stuff
Only have to pay for shipping.
Nice
I’d say “hey it sounds like the AIO pump is going bad” do the warranty thing
Just curious ….is that all in one a good brand
And would it hurt to play on my PC for a night or two
Or is it too much of a risk
I’m not sure what brand it is but if its under warranty i wouldn’t stress about that
Most use the same pumps anyway so it’s just bad random luck
Well I have had it for 3 years but yeah I don’t game that often
Eh if the pc gets too hot or whatever it’ll shut itself down. I think you’re fine to play for a day or two
Some weeks I have for 7-9 hrs a week, some weeks don’t game at all
You shut it down or leave it on
When I stopped the fan, I had to kind of flick it to get it moving again
Is that normal …kinda like a jump starts (just not)
Just now*
It probably would’ve gone again on its own in some time
Like it didn’t kick into full gear right when my hand left
I wouldn’t worry about that
Thanks to you and @silver radish for helping me and the rest of the server.
Is there a way to tell if my PC is overheating
Or encountering issues with the cooler
Like a temp check
Np man. Let ‘em know you think the aio pump is going bad and want a warranty fix
You can but honestly it’s overkill
When the cpu gets too hot they shut down for their own safety
I had a few of those PC status apps
But I deleted them because I never used them
Guess I don’t care about reading temps and RPM’s lol
I had a wire between my aio and cpu when I first built this pc and it would start up get super hot and then shutdown all in a few seconds
Where did the wire go to?
The hardware protects itself for the most part. Of course you can extend the lifespan of parts by removing dust
It was for the light of the aio
The crackling sound is the pump going bad…that whining coiling type sound…is that the same thing…pump going bad
Because there are two different sounds going on here
Nah the whining might just be your gpu or other fans as they spoil up. Those sounded normal to me
Guessing it’s all the same …because when the whine slows down, that’s when I head the crackling sound
Spool*
