New, like bought it last month
The lag is only in games like GTA and MW2. I will test more games and let you know. also the GTA lag only happens in the Online.
Other than that, theres no problem
Now i updated to the driver version 536.99 and getting 60 fps in GTA. Please help me out on what should i do
Do you know what is your GPU clock speed, usage %, and limit reason?
If you have no idea what these words mean, you're going to download MSI Afterburner.
Install it (check where you are downloading it), and in its settings, go to the monitoring tab and enable on OSD for the above stuff, as well as GPU temp, CPU clock, temps.
No idea? Detailed instructions later
Also. 60 FPS is very close to 60 Hz. If you play with vsync on on 60Hz or half at 120hz, this is normal.
I do have MSI Afterburner and no i do not play with vsync on. I was playing watch dogs recently and i got this popup and the game started to lag as well.
Do i need to enable every thing in OSD in MSI and send an Screenshot? or just this will work
i closed all apps in the bg but didnt work
Open the notification area just to be sure
9/16GB on desktop is a lot
Nothings on the notifs. Any fix for the ram tho ?
Did you run anything funny or download anything weird?
holy fuck lol
Also, you didn't turn on everything relevant. Missing:
GPU clock speed
GPU VRAM clock speed
GPU limit reasons
GPU power
CPU clock speed
CPU power
RAM usage
Is this a quad core CPU? If not, you're not checking enough CPUs. Modern gaming laptops usually come with at least six cores!
You should write down your entire laptop spec sheet just in case
Watch Dogs is complaining that it's running out of system RAM
Something funky is going on
Device name JXSSI-LAPTOP
Processor 12th Gen Intel(R) Core(TM) i5-12450H 2.00 GHz
Installed RAM 16.0 GB (15.7 GB usable)
System type 64-bit operating system, x64-based processor
Pen and touch No pen or touch input is available for this display
yeah ill turn everything on and send an ss
Make sure to also monitor the e-cores. (the last 4 CPUs)
If you turned them off for some reason, stop doing that. These cores work.
I never turned them off because i dont know how to
I thought they all just work like
you know
Well I'll send an screenshot and turn all the OSD things in MSI
Speaking of which, CPUs in Intel hybrids are laid out logically like this:
P-core P-core hyperthread (repeat until out of P-cores) E-core (repeat until out of E-cores)
8 cores 12 threads
4 p
Okay
Anyway, just enable monitoring the usage % for all of them, but only temps for the entire CPU (CPU with no number)
Can you tell me if i should change the physx thing?
You don't need to deal with each individual CPU's temp
In the conteol panel
alright
No, don't touch
Okay
Also, for CPU clock speed, you could check the one for the CPU with no number and usually this will be the P core speed. If this is not the case for some reason, then check CPU1 and CPU9 (the first E-core)
is this okay?
this is when i didnt opendiscord in y background
and this is when i opened dc in my bg
the ram usage increased
i mean ofc
d o i need to enable more performance monitor thing or is this okay
all p cores are working
There doesn't seem to be anything wrong, but you seem to have accidentally turned off GPU usage %. Check it.
Everything looks normal, though.
im getting 80 fps with performance mode on so i am okay with that
about the performance mode, is it okay to enable it everytime i play?
Alright so when im out of the city, where theres so many people, my fps actually wwent up to 100. Guess i should lower the particle settings and all.
Also keep in mind that GTAV inherently has a soft FPS limit
If you're over 100 already I wouldn't fuss too much
alright thanks for your time
@tropic orbit Hello a bit late but i also use the same graphics card and saw that you are using MSI Afterburner, are you using a laptop may i ask? I can not seem to change fan speed, power limit and temp limit settings in Afterburner
