Hi! I just got my RTX 4070 (it's literally been installed for less than an hour) and I have a question about my monitor. I use a Panasonic TV as my main monitor and it has a bit of a weird resolution problem. The resolution of the monitor is technically 1920 x 1080 but it doesn't quite fit. On my old settings, I would use a custom scaler to get it right but, now I have an NVIDIA card, Idk how to do this. Does anyone know how to fix this?

You'll have to set the TV to not scale the image it gets. This is somewhere in your OSD/TV settings, often it's in settings relating to aspect ratio (I can give you more precise steps if you share the exact monitor model)

the settings are greyed out

If you have image scaling or DSR/DLDSR turned on, turn them all off, then check again

I don't know, how do I fiind that out?

You'll have to check your monitor's settings (as in, its on-screen display accessed via a button on the remote/TV itself or, if it's a newer model with Android, it's usually simply the "Settings" app)

it's not a smart tv

Could you send in the exact model you're using? Makes it easier if I don't have to pull up 5 different manuals

tame cave

I don't know- sorry

gloomy cypress
#

Right, that's fine
Look for any stickers on the backside of the TV, take a picture of those & send it into here

"Menu" button on your remote -> "Setup" menu -> "16:9 Overscan" (set to "Off") should be it
There's also a dedicated aspect ratio selector: Press "Aspect" on the remote & make sure that's set to 16:9

tame cave
#

I can't find the oiption for "16:9 Overscan"

gloomy cypress
#

You probably don't have the aspect ratio set to 16:9 then

tame cave
#

It is on 16:9

gloomy cypress
#

Huh, what options are visible in the "Setup" menu?

tame cave

Off Timer
Link Settings
Child Lock
Display Settings
System Menu
Other Settings

#

OMG

#

I'VE DONE IT

gloomy cypress
#

Ah, it's in the "Other Settings"

It's called Picture Overscan on mine

#

Yeah

Thank you so much for your help!
