Ive Tried a differenslot
but i just started having this problem 2 hours ago
@worn spoke
Just remaining is to try it on another PC. Or you could use your warranty right now.
issue is
my warrenty expired like one month ago
in june
and i have no other computer
i will try something tho
ive reseated gpu
and used a different sot
slot
and still nothing
what else do i do
@neon swallow ive seen you help fellow members as myself
can u assist me please
Test it in another PC, the fastest and easiest way to check the GPU because right now it doesn't sound good
Especially if it magically got removed from windows all of a suddeb
You could try resetting Bios and check if that does it and you can try shutting down the system, unplug the GPU, hold power button 20 seconds then boot up the PC with no card, shut it off and plug it back in
the thing is
it still displays
it just wont let me install drivers
or run games
i can hop into a vc if youd like so i can demonstrate
@static jungle
Do the above first and see how it goes
i did this just i dont know how to reset bios
and i have no other pc in this house
You can reset cmos but entering the bios and click reset to default should do the same
You can hop into BIOS and reset to defaults
You tried booting with no GPU when holding power button for 20 seconds while it was off? Or just regular reseat
Holding power button will drain capacitors
If that doesn't work the best thing would be to clean jnstall windows
Through USB stick
I’ll see if it works
Ok
If you have multiple storage devices move all your files to other storage device and do a clean Windows install through a USB stick just to rule out the possibility of corrupt OS or some weird glitch/bug
If even after that you have issues with it then for sure hardware issue
yea
its still broken
i dont know what to do
i spent so much money on this computer
and all ive had are problems
Do the clean windows install
Worth giving a try since you're unable to test GPU in another system
What kind of problems? You should've claimed warranty back then if the problems were major like this one right now
no i never had problems with my gpu
just today
literally 4 hours ago
this started
firstly my mobo, cpu and ram died 3 times
i got them all replaced
but
my
gpu has just started acting up
I FIXED IT
all i had to do was launch minecraft
and now it fixed its self
I don't know why you didn't warranty the PC, thats a lot of issues
Cpu died because of what?
I mean that isn't something minor
Especially if you're not sure the cause of it happening as it could happen again if theres a defect somewhere
But good that it works now
Try installing a driver
uhm
so like
they just instaled
without me
touchbing anything
IDFK WHAT I DID
Yeah, windows installs them
Well, good that it started working ahahha
Try ddu and install them
ddu is the reason everything messed up
Where do you live? Nearly all video cards come with at least 3 years of warranty. The 3060 was not released until 2021. It's not 2024.
If retailer warranty has run out, check manufacturer's warranty.
Windows not detecting the card is your issue / hardware issue
if card literally disappeared and it never shows up there
not even as "Microsoft Basic Display Adapter"
hardware failure probable
card died so bad that it doesn't even power on
btw
are you on iGPU?
Nah I have an r5 5600x
So my gpu now works
But it’s reset back to its original driver state
and drivers r having a very hard time installing
Australia
okay i will
so what do i do
@worn spoke
it made it worse
@worn spoke
i found out i have warrenty
left
so im going to try and take it tommorrow to get fixed
crossing fingers. good luck
yeah this makes sense. card isn't even out for three years
yea
