#is geforce or my rig the problem?

Are you overheating?
idk
Time to check
ok
MSI Afterburner > enabling monitoring for the following:
- GPU clock, temperature, limit reasons
- CPU clock, temperature
Then in RTSS, enable the OSD
Play a game until it starts to slow down. Check the temps.
If the GPU limit reason is Temperature, you've found your culprit
Otherwise, if the GPU/CPU temperatures are too high (95C+) expect slowdowns too (you can confirm with the clock speed; if they go below rated base clocks you're getting too hot)
ok cuz rn its at 60 and at 1%
thats fine right for now???
is this what overclocking is
its on like 74 now
seems ok
@high hare
its using less then half of the gpu
its definatly my settings or somthing
OK. Monitor the frame rate too. (Same place, but now check Framerate.)
ok
it goes to under 30 fps in game
and has this disgusting grainy texture that idfk how to fix
@high hare
Screenshot.
this pc is in the middle of doing a back log of the gpu
dude. it worked fine before
your GPU can render frames at 18.1ms, but it won't matter if the CPU has to work up to 41.1ms
the update ruined it
Please confirm with me the game settings
Irrelevant. MSFS is actively updated; the engine characteristics of when it is new is different from now.
nvidia dlls, all to ultra, and it was all completly fine before like 60 - 70 fps
...you didn't put any sliders to >100, did you?
the goalposts literally moved
the details can and will go way beyond what the game used to give you
no theyre all max
dude it was all on max before and giving me 65 fpsss
i did!!!!!!!!
it didnt help
I said it already; this game literally moved settings goalposts
you probably didn't realize it yet, but the slider got expanded for the view distance stuff
what??? but mine isnt even the 40 series so i probably dont have it
These updates happened when the game was released for the Xbox
its 2023???
fine
Because this implies settings change
(1280x720 render to 1920x1080 is not a default)
u cant see the grainy texture on the screenshot for some reason
Reduce FidelityFX CAS Sharpening to 0%
You lied
no idea what that is
Press F12
GLOBAL RENDERING QUALITY: CUSTOM
Stop doing that. Use a preset.
i changed them back
what no? none of them work for mr
You'll probably notice that they aren't maxed
what??????
so?????
it's literally for future pcs
dude it was fine before on that
It used to cap at 200%
ok so????
Try 200%
Does this airport have pre-installed handcrafted data?
No: download it
Yes: if you have just recently downloaded it, restart the game
If this is part of a World Update, check if there are updates pending for them
generated airports won't look good, just usable enough
no idea what that is
basically
in most flight simulators
airports can be either generated or handcrafted
handcrafted airports are beautiful and precise, but takes installation space and usually for third party stuff, money
i dont get it
generated airports are just like that
made on the spot based on satellite imagery. can be wildly off, and definitely doesn't look good
i still dont get it
To confirm if your game is working correctly, choose an airport that is in that table corresponding to your edition
(You can also refer to World Update descriptions for any airports added since)
ok il try
il be back soon
this games sunrises are so perfect
dose this mean
like the airport mentioned is meant to look realistic in that version
because im in the middle
not perfect, but much better than if they let the AI generate one
i see
yeah, anything with the check mark is worth looking
if things still look like pea soup then we do have a problem
but they shouldn't at high or ultra
airplanes or glitches?
it was a wired random glitch
sorry about the delay went for a walk
idk its odd
should i just delete geforce experiance
It may or may not help
