If you want to use a higher resolution than native, use DSR/DLDSR

If you want to use a lower resolution than native, directly set the resolution.

If you use the GPU to scale resolutions, the reporting resolution in the monitor's OSD is always the native resolution (1920x1080 in this case.)

#

What kind of custom resolution are you trying to set?

Your monitor won't accept certain resolutions depending on pixel clock it sets

#

There are multiple reasons why it doesn't accept the resolution

#

And I see no issue as the resolutions you're trying to use make no sense and I can't see what makes you use them, for what?

#

Are you trying to set 1440x1080?

#

This is the "real" 4:3 for a 1080p display. Plug in these numbers in the NVIDIA control panel, and perhaps try a different timing standard if the defaulted one doesn't work.

#

Let's start over.

#

Wipe all traces of existing drivers.

#

Then...

#

Get the latest. Don't try to skirt this with an older driver first.

#

Then... restart your computer.
