Uh, this video card is still in support. Not sure why you haven't updated it. Go to NVIDIA.com and grab the latest. You're 1 year behind in both Game Ready profiles, optimizations, and security.

If you are having trouble updating, run DDU, then try installing the driver again.

Nah, not that high. Still not ideal. Same idea with out of date Windows.

Well, usually you accidentally run/install malware

Or sometimes a page tries to run bad stuff that somehow isn't caught by adblockers

Not always. (That game has efficiency issues anyway, and driver updates can only do so much.)
