that videos is me using my rtx 3050
What are you doing? Turning off the iGPU in device manager?
Ok, what makes you say in one instance it's running off the iGPU and another that it's running off the dGPU?
Sorry but I don't know much about GPU. I do not know what you mean
You say here you run it one time with the iGPU and the other time with the dGPU, how did you make it run on one and not the other?
You're saying that it runs slowly when your on the 3050, but that it runs fast on Integrated Graphics. How are you determining this? As it just sounds like you're understanding it backwards.
Because if the Integrated Graphics was at 10 fps and the 3050 was at 60fps it would make sense.
In the settings I can change What GPU do I want to use
Its crazy but is true when im using my rtx The game runs so badly..
i dont know why
Run the game in the configuration that runs it at 60fps, then alt tab out of the game (don't close it, keep it running in the background) and then open command prompt and run the command nvidia-smi and take a screenshot of the full output and send it over
Yeah that's using the 3050
rdr2.exe is in the list and it's also showing that it's in P0, which is the high power state
Quite a lot of the time the GPU is routed through the CPU, so even though it might say it's using the CPU in the menu it isn't
here is the video memory. but it is the intel one since the integrated graphic has 4gb. oh and sorry because it is in spanish but it basically says video memory.
(using the 60fps config with the intel gpu)
The video memory is shared across the whole system usually
on a laptop anyway
Notice on the nvidia-smi screenshot you shared, it also has the same memory amounts listed
oh
Yeah there isn't an issue here, a lot of games incorrectly say which GPU is being used on laptops
It's just the options in RDR2 being weird, just put it on whatever gives you the best performance.
