#Cannot access NVIDIA control panel
1 messages · Page 1 of 1 (latest)
I attempted to do a clean install as well but nothing seems to work.
My device manager cant detect anything wrong with it and is telling me I am up to date.
I just went through this process and reinstalled my drivers but the control panel still will not pull up
I reinstalled my drivers from the nvidia website. The install went smooth and windows even gave me a notif that the control panel was installed. I double clicked and it allowed me to click the box for the nvidia terms and conditions but I cannot actually open the panel.
for the install I did it myself, and I did not download the control panel from the store. I got the notice from downloading geforce.
The microsoft store says that the panel is installed but I did not manually install it from the store
I tried once again and still nothing
I submitted a support ticket, Im not sure what else the problem could be
Dch drivers install nvcp whenever you install nvidia driver
I'd suggest booting safe mode and check if it opens up
You could use revoUninstaller and try and remove it with it, it might have some weird leftover files at cache folders and registry, ddu should do that but worth giving a try
I’ll try this in the morning, I tried ddu twice so it’s worth a shot
Also when removing with revoUninstaller, either dm me or just be careful when you get to select which registry files to delete, always double-check just in case it doesn't throw something in that isn't tied to nvcp
Ok I will keep that in mind 👍 thank you
Hi all. I'm having the same problem as @visual stratus
I've tried everything above. I'm in a constant loop. My NVIDIA control panel disappeared and i cant open it in any way.
any resolution available?
Mine resolved because there was a bug with the GTX 1060 update. I rolled my drivers back to a previous update in my device manager and reinstalled the patched update and its working fine now
so i kind of figured out the issue? if i uninstall my geforce gfx card and then do a hard reset on my laptop, itll start up again while recognizing the graphics card and even opening nvidia control panel. the problem is that after a couple of minutes the fan makes a loud noise as if it's overworking and then i get a blue screen
can anyone be so kind as to let me know if this is common or if there's a possible solution?
