#Reset this PC option in windows

Yes, as tempest said. Reset this PC can introduce additional problems rather than fixing them, clean install with USB is much better.
I just did the reset this pc option in windows because it was easier for me, I then did a full scan with the windows defender and no virus came up, should I just leave it at that?
@rigid fulcrum also ^
I'd say so, keep in mind that a lot of files are left inside window.old and I'd delete that folder completely
I mean it says there's no virus on windows.
How do I do that.
You can either use disk cleanup
Or just delete it from your c disk, it'll be named windows.old
where is it
Use disk cleanup, right click on c drive and disk cleanup
Select previous windows installation and thats it
when i right click c drive theres no option to disk cleanup
Properties-disk cleanup
General tab
yeah
Found it?
select cleanup system files
Then screenshot
i did
Well, just go inside c disk and find windows.old folder
No, just check for windows.old folder inside c disk
there isnt a windows.old
when i reset i put the options, remove everything, cloud download and then clean disk
is that why?
If there's no windows.old then there isn't, it's nothing bad even if there was. Just recommend deleting as it still vould vontain some of the files and one of them could be the file/app with the virus
alr
so im good then? i dont need to do the complete deletion of windows
and use the usb
I can't tell for sure, I guess you're fine
@rigid fulcrum what do you think?
alright, thank you
No problem
Yeah, best to avoid such stuff.
@rigid fulcrum i did all these settings
It is fine, don't worry about it
Especially after you did a scan and nothing comes up
But do make sure you run a full scan and not a quick scan
Any kind of hacking software wether it be for games or patching/cracking tool will be reported as a virus and most of the time isn't at all, but to decide if it is or isn't requires a bit of 'knowledge'
Also don't make that fool you as well, there was cases with paid hacks ending up infecting the PCs with bitcoin miners
I'm not saying your particular software
Alr
I'm saying in general, bo matter if it's paid or not always look at it that it could be a potential virus
If you get me
Yeah
In other words, be cautious no matter how many people use it wether paid or not*
Alright
Thank you
Nothing seems out of the ordinary though
Plus windows defender didn’t find anything
That's good, that's why I truly believe yuu have no need for a clean install
Alr thank you
No problem, take care
