Hello, so I asked yesterday about this issue and it was seemingly fixed after a DDU. Booting up this afternoon and it started again to cap at 40fps, but this time I suspect Intel Arc Control to mess up with me (every time I boot up it asks me to change some stuff on the pc (even when I decline it's still capping). Also, it only caps in games (144hz everywhere else). It's really the last of my problem on this weekend, if someone know what's going on that'd be a real life saver
#3050 capped at 40 fps (again)

After deactivating the integrated GPU from the i5 the issue persisted, safe to say it's related to the 3050. I have no clue on what's going on and I just hope it's not an hardware issue
Correction: it seems as though the fps cap also takes effect on the integrated GPU, so it's a cap on the laptop. Is there anything like that that can be removed / checked on the bios ?
Power plan / battery saver settings comes to mind there
If it was gone at first after running DDU, that might also point to manufacturer software (ASUS Armory Crate, etc) being the culprit (DDU disables those, but they might auto-start again on your next boot)
Btw u on laptop? What are ur full specs
Also check if it's a asus tuf laptop and ur not on silent mode
Battery settings haven't changed since the past 3 months, but I'll check them
I'll also check the MSI app but I doubt there's enough there to help me
Yes, I have a MSI Katana
Not an Asus or Acer dw
Rtx 3050, i5 11400h, 16gb ram, 512gb ssd
All of them
Like every time I log in a game it caps at 40fps
Discord and other apps are just fine
(screen from yesterday but it hasn't changed)
Sidenote, but don't use Opera

ah okay, so I should stick to Firefox ?
I can't enter the bios (following MSI's protocol) & I don't know what to check anymore. There's no cap in MSI app and nothing related to that on nvidia control panel
Um.. should I do a DDU to check what it does or.. ?
