#Cannot Launch Company of Heroes 2 without Proton

You need to give more information than that
Error logs, package format, how are u running it etc
Where do I find error logs and package format?
I find that CoH 2 crashes when I don't use Proton.
Thanks

I find that running COH 2 with Proton helps launch CoH 2.
its like that sometimes
metro last light is supposed to have a linux native version but it doesnt work on my system
it seems to be borked
but proton version works albeit has some framerate and stuttering issues
you can try different versions of proton to see which works best
Thanks. I don't understand why a Linux game will stop launching all of a sudden. That's what happened when I played CoH 2. It was working without proton. Then one day, it decides not to launch.
You're thanking too much ó_ò
Will do!
I am thinking about reinstalling my Linux system to get Linux native games working again as a last resort.
if its non flatpak steam after updating your system there could be conflict between shared libraries
Thanks for letting me know. Should I switch to Debian Steam on Pop!_OS 22.04?

pardon?
did you use apt install to get steam or the software store
u could try one or the other and see which works
I got it from the Pop!_OS store
I will look into it.
I am using Flatpak Steam.
I don't know how to find the conflict between shared libraries.
there shouldnt be conflict then unless they packaged it wrong
it could be another reason
u can run flatpaks in terminal by
flatpak run <name of flatpak>
it could be com.steam.Steam just check ~/.var/app dir
I will look into that
I am unsure if CoH 2 got borked. I managed to fix CoH 2 not running by using Proton
I got some Linux ports working on my PC. I find broken linux ports annoying
metro last light did launch on linux but now the port is absolutely broken, could never get it to work
Why is the port broken?
probably lack of proper support
they had released it for that failed valve console that was supposed to run linux
before the deck and the index
Thanks for the information. How do we close this post?
